National Health Insurance Scheme
ISTL was contracted to design, develop and support the first Enrolment Management System In 2005. This system was designed to manage HMO's, HCP's, Employers and Employer Branches and 1,2 Million Federal Government employees and their dependents
The government initiated a health insurance scheme to provide medical and pharmaceutical coverage for workers in both formal and informal sectors as well as other self-employed and rural dwellers. It was a turnkey, end-to-end solution which consists of Registration of Beneficiaries, Scanning and Processing of beneficiaries' applications, Establishment of Central Database, Printing of beneficiaries and dependants ID cards and Printing of Patient Cards for the HMOs.
We deployed Ad-hoc staff to all parts of Nigeria to register beneficiaries in the formal sector. Applications were processed centrally in Abuja and committed into the Central Database, both Patient and Beneficiaries ID cards were printed centrally and distributed nationally.
